Liberty Lad is Bright Ladīs most successful son, at least in breeding terms. His true racing ability is impossible to assess. Liberty won his debut in 29,68 at Clonmel and five moths later won the April Stakes at Enniscorthy. He clocked 29,11 in the Irish Derby but broke a hock in the semis. He eventually returned many lengths slower.
