Lady Barbra |
|
XX, born: 19XX-XX, hight: XX cm, weight: XX kg |
Lady Barbra was owned by Lincolnshire´s Brian Turner. She won in 29.30 on the grass track at Wembley 525 yards, but suffered with a severe wrist injury and finished her career in well spaced sprints at Peterborough. Her first mating to Allemaine included the exceptional Squire Jones, a winner of eight major open race finals and a total of 37 opens. He also broke the 525 track records at Limerick and Clonmel. Lady Barbra also threw Squire Lee, runner-up in the Macroom Motors Stakes at Cork, Bedfordshire Derby runner-up Willies Pedro and Burr Tulip, grand dam of Farloe Melody. Lady Barbra is by the cheap Irish sire
Barbadus out of Vals Circus. The bottom line has not been prolific for top quality
offspring. Looking further back, Glowing Fire is a litter sister to the extremely useful
brood Fire Top Susie. Her offspring included Rum Buns, whose daughter Adamstown Fire threw
a string of decent Adamstown runners in the late 70s, including Gold Collar and Grand Prix
finalist Adamstown Sonny. |
