colour: brindle, born: 1986-10, hight: XX cm, weight: 34 kg

Fox made his debut at Thurles in the Ballintubber One Stake. Though only 19 months old, he won all heats and final in 29,76 on a track rated ,20 slow. He finished second to a 23,44 in the 435 yard Glen Dancer Grand Prix at Dunmore but won in Kilkenny in 29,21. Now 22 months old Fox travveled to Dundalk for the 500 yard open that supported the International and broke the track record in 28,12. His next run was in Powderhall´s Edinburgh Cup. Beaten first time out by Killouragh Christ, they clocked identical semis but Fox was hampered i the final and finished last.

Fox final event in 1988 was the Puppy Derby at Harold´s Cross. He was beaten in the first round, won well in 29,42 next time out and was badly hampered when beaten 11 lengths in semis. He led to the fourth bend in the final but came off sore in a shoulder.

Fox returned for a sprint open at Clonmel track during the 1989 Coursing Festival. he equalled the 16,34 track record in the heats and bettered that in the final by 22 spots. he travelled to Cork and won a 300 open in 16,55 (,15 slow). The track record was 16,45. Fox was 13 spots outside Lifford´s 325 record. The bandwagon rolled onto Thurles for the Coolamber Forest Stake. In the heats, he beat Attractive Son two spots faster than Top Customer´s 13 year old track record. Fox clocked 18,02, Lartigue Note, also being prepared for the English Derby won in 18,12. Unfortunately, Fox broke a toe and aggravated the old shoulder problem in his heat. He was withdrawn from the final and laid off for four months. He came back to clock 16,44 at Kilkenny (TR 16,28) and set new figures for Enniscorthy´s 350 yards, 18,85. He won his last race on Derby final night at Shelbourne Park winning in 19,50 for the sprint. He again finished lame and was retired with a record showing 32 races, 24 wins. He was undoubtedly the greatest sprinter since Toms Pal and also stayed 525.

The dog destined to be champion sire when I'm SLippy moves over, possibly in 1995. His first pups are only January 1990 whelps and no novice has done as well as early since Whisper Whishes. Fox will probably jake a top ten sire by the end of 1992 and top three in 1993. Fox generally throws very big pups, the majority of whom have good early speed. He has been skilfully hadled by Michael O´Sullivan and was the outcross to Sandman, Linda's Champion and I'm Slippy that Irish breeding needed so badly.
